Deaven got baptized this weekend and officially became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was an incredible experience for our whole family.

Will's confirmation prayer was also beautiful and powerful. The spirit of the Lord was definitely present for our little sweet Deaven.

We were blessed to be joined by many of my family who live close enough to make the trip. Deaven's uncles, Taylor and Logan, are very special to him.

Deaven was supported by his closest friends as well.

Grandpa Dunne said a few words, and presented Deaven with a shoe, to represent this first BIG STEP Deaven was making by being baptized. Grandpa will hold on to the matching shoe and present it to Deaven if and when he decides to go on a mission 11 years from now. It's their little deal.

After the baptism, we had several family and friends over to the house for a big lunch and cake and then headed out to the cabin to hang out for the rest of the day as a family. It was wonderfully fulfilling and relaxing.

Sunday we got together again to have dinner. Thank you to Taylor and Logan who took time out of their busy lives to come support not just Deaven, but all our kids. It's nice to have them close enough to be a part of their lives.

It was an absolutely WONDERFUL weekend for our family. Family is everything!! We are so proud of Deaven and are grateful for all he brings to our little family.
On to LESS important things, but equally entertaining.......

For Halloween, Deaven was IRON MAN, Peyton was a SNOW PRINCESS, and Morgan was..........

FOR SALE!!! She walked around for HOURS with this on her back!

Okay, with that song and those photos, I've got tears in my eyes which is making it hard to type...
Thanks for inviting The Dudley family to be part of this special day for Deaven and his whole family. We loved experiencing this with all of you and watching your church's baptismal ceremony which is so different than our own. Truly, diversity is God's gift to us all.
What a big weekend for your family! Our blessings to Deaven and your family! Thanks so much for sharing...all of you look wonderful and like you are soaking up every last drop of life! Much Love Jules
That "For Sale" sign has got to be the funniest thing I've seen in awhile!

What a neat experience, and you're right, it is a blessing to be able to have family around to be a part of it. I loved this post because it's so fun to see pictures of my cousins who I haven't seen in SO long.

Dalton will be sad to learn that he missed Deaven's baptism. He really wanted to be there. Oh well, can't be in two places at once, eh?
Love the Halloween costumes! We'd buy her! ha ha!!!
I can't believe that you have a child old enough to be baptized! Congrats, on one of life's milestones.
