When Will came back from his trip to Texas, he brought his Mom back with him!!! We love visits from Grandma Hayes!
We've been busy the last few days having lots of fun......like making a Ginger Bread House.
One of my kids favorite "Grandma traditions" is getting all wrapped up in her bandages. Carol always brings them and does all kinds of things with them.
This time she added some jewels. This was the first year Morgan wanted to participate.......
.....for awhile anyway. When she was done, she was DONE. The stuff couldn't come back off fast enough. Check out that face!!!
Morgan ADORES Grandma. She was clung to her like glue for the first 24 hours she was here.
And you know if Morgan's hair looks like this, Grandma must be around.
Wednesday after school, we took off for Great Wolf Lodge. We had promised the kids for the last year that once Morgan was potty trained (with their help) we would go celebrate as a family. Morgan finally reached that goal completely, so off we went......with Grandma in tow.
The Lodge was all decorated for Christmas and was beautiful. It even snowed in the lobby 3 times a day!!
Our kids LOVE swimming and water. They can't get enough of it.
Morgan loved the smaller slides, and Peyton, as always, went on everything she was big enough for. She's such a gamer. Deaven is big enough for everything and doesn't bat an eyelash at going down the slides. We even got Grandma to go down the Tornado, the HUGE slide the Lodge is known for.
I could never get Morgan to stop playing long enough for a picture. Love the drowned rat look.
We spend 4+ hours playing on day 1. It was a great day!!
We stopped in the Lodge for Story time (another snowfall) and to relax a bit.
We were all pretty trashed for the day and it's our kind of hotel when you are ENCOURAGED to wear your PJ's everywhere.
After story time, we hit the ice cream parlor!!
In the morning, the kids participated in the Wizard Quest that the Lodge has. You purchase these wands that trigger different things around the hotel to "come alive" and light up. The kids absolutely loved it. It really is a pretty cool idea (to claim another $40 of our money).
Then we played in the water park for another several hours.
We got home in just enough time to turn around for Gymnastics for the kids. Unfortunately, towards the end of Peyton's class, a girl bumped into while she was working on her back handspring and it hurt her arm really badly. We thought it might be broken (she broke it when she was 3 too).
Off to Urgent Care we went. Thank goodness for Grandma.....again!! It was a really long wait, and coming off of gymnastics AND Great Wolf Lodge, Peyton was beyond tired.
When my kids get tired, they get REALLY silly. Peyton just had a rolling in laughter with the things coming out of her mouth, and she wasn't even medicated!
Luckily, the x-rays came back clean and it looks like it was just a bad sprain. She is feeling much better already.
Just a small video to document her silliness. This one is MILD in comparison of how she got as the night went on. :)
