Peyton has attended Log Cabin Christian Preschool for the last 2 years and yesterday was her "graduation". They did a little performance and of course, she was a doll. While getting her ready in the morning, she found the bright blue clip you see in her hair and had it stuck in her hair all crazy like, but of course, LOVED IT. Somewhere in the morning I was able to slip it out while we talked about where we would go for lunch on her special day. (Normally I don't really care how she looks for school, but today WAS graduation) We got about 4 blocks from the house and she realized she didn't have her clip anymore. She started crying and was devastated. I told how pretty she looked, and she said, "I'm not pretty to me" and it was about then that I had to turn the car around to get the blue clip. I've been thinking a lot about how important it is that your child's perceptions meet their needs, more than anything else. It's more important for her to FEEL pretty than to technically look pretty. So off we went to get the clip, but we compromised and she let me put it in so it came off okay. I can't believe she heading to Kindergarten next year!!!

Will & Peyton look so cute, what a perfect father-daughter picture! That clip story is so great, what a great mom you are, it takes some of us a while to come to that realization about our kids. :)
Congrats on moving on to Kindergarten!
