Happy 5th Birthday Morgan!!!

It's so hard to believe that my baby girl is turning 5 today. She is precious and adorable.......and absolutely crazy. She definitely keeps us on our toes! We love you Morgan!
We can not imagine our family with out her. She has a special place in my heart because since she is my last, I have to SAVOR everything she does and says. Gone are the days of having a little one in my house. Most days I love having my kids grow up. Then I have a moment, where I totally lose it and cry for an hour that I'm losing my babies.

I keep a Motherhood Journal, where I write down details of the things I love at each stage of development for my children. Each year since Morgan turned 1, I've been including my journal on her birthday blog. So........here is year 4. Enjoy! I'm sure many of these hold sentimental value for you as well.

What I will miss about a 4 year old:

I will miss the excitement of being able to help with chores around the house.

I will miss watching my husband hold patiently still, as my daughter SLOWLY feeds his belt through each belt loop before he leaves for work.

I will miss how my children think I have the most beautiful voice just because I will sing to them at bedtime.

I will miss all the moments of pride after doing their own hair, or creating a new outfit.

I will miss my child being small enough to sit on the kitchen island while I cook dinner.

I will miss dancing in the living room to “their songs”.

I will miss watching them use my husband’s head as a floatation device in the pool.

I will miss taking them on a ride on the back of my bike and feeling them run their hands on my back.

I will miss holding their little feet as they ride on my shoulders, playing I Spy.

I will miss that when I tell my daughter she’s beautiful, she says, “I know”.

When do we lose that?

I will miss watching their little legs go up and down so fast like little pistons when they are riding their little toddler bikes.

I will miss the random songs they make up.

I will miss being able to throw their little bodies onto our big bed and hearing them squeal in delight, “Again!”.

I will miss seeing them lay on the dentist table for the first time. Their body dwarfed by the large table and their soft cheeks barely showing under the huge glasses.

I will miss how warm their little body feelings in my arms when I pick them up.

I will miss rolling around the floor with my kids.

I will miss being able to demand hugs and kisses on cue.

I will the sounds of imaginary play coming from the room next door.

I will miss hearing them ask me for a hug.

I will miss hearing little footsteps coming down the stairs in the morning.

I can't believe Morgan is already 5! I still remember her as a tiny baby with that awesome hair. Your list is great, I should start keeping track of those great memories of my own kiddos.
