With Deaven getting older and older, we are finding it necessary to make sure the Hayes Boys get some quality (female free) time together. Will took Deaven out on a short back pack trip last weekend to Lena Lake, which is a 6 mile trip total. You can see Odie above, giving Deaven and good luck kiss! :)
Deaven used my old bag and Will got his weight at only 14 lbs, which was no problem for Deaven.
It never really rained, but it was still a little damp.
Nothing like being out in nature with your kids. Will is an awesome Dad to put in all the work it takes to get them out there.

This is Lower Lena Lake. There is an upper one too, that is a grueling trek.
Awesome job to my boys, who, in full Hayes tradition, stopped for burgers and milkshakes on the way home.
And I'm SO GRATEFUL that Will takes a few pictures while they are out. Peyton and I are pretty jealous and hope to catch up on some adventures soon!
