Last night was Deaven's first Pinewood Derby with the Cub Scouts. Will and Deaven worked really hard on the car for the past several weeks.
Deaven dedicated his car to his Grandpa Hayes, who is a major "Drag Racer" with his beautiful Corvette. Grandpa and Deaven love to watch the drag races together.
Once we got there we realized the car was over the 5.0 ounces allowed. Will started chipping away at the wood....and chipping......and chipping.......
Then he got out the power tools. He carved away at this car for a long time and couldn't get it to bug in weight. Finally, it came around, sort of.
Deaven's Corvette named: The Red Dragon.
Deaven's Cub Scout Pack.
Deaven's best friends, Forrest and Korban.
Our Bishop (Pastor) and his wife, the Alexander's. We love them!
And the cheering squad!
It was a fun night for everyone! Deaven won best decals! Our Cub Scout Master puts a lot of work in for these boys, for which we are grateful!
