The new definition of "Clingy"

For the last week or so, Morgan has been super clingy again. Whining and constantly unsatisfied with her life as she sees it. I had a feeling it might be her teeth, and sure enough, when I checked, she was poking through some of her 2 yr old molars.

But yesterday hit an all time high of "motherly attachment". After I had gotten dressed for the gym (to play racquetball) I was in the kitchen getting a few last things done. As I stood at the counter, Morgan walked up behind me, and stuck her head under the back of my skirt.

She just stood there, with her arms at her sides, silent. I finally walked to another spot in the kitchen (which pulled the skirt off her head) and she quietly followed. Once I stopped, she slid her head back under my skirt.

I thought it was hysterical, because she wasn't even trying to be funny. I finally walked to the counter that had my camera and shot a picture.

That girl cracks me up!!!

Our family home evening last night was on "temptations" or "poor choices". I did an object lesson with two magnets showing that you can slowly move them closer to each other, but at some point, they just get sucked together by the force of the magnet.

We talked about how even being around people that are making bad choices can suck you in. Or when you are tempted to just walk the line closely, you constantly run the risk of being "sucked in".

We then did another object lesson of sliding a Tylenol jar across the counter. The goal was to keep it on the counter, with out it going over the edge. Most all of us slid over, but Deaven, our self-proclaimed non-risk taker, slid his only a short distance, and won the game.

We talked about how much of an advantage you have if you decide early on to just stay as far away as possible from poor choices. That one big choice now can save you a zillion little ones in the heat of the moment.

Kid's enjoyed it.....thought I'd pass it along.

Hah! Those are very funny pictures. Your legs look great, by the way. I hear you are an amazing raquetball player, which I can totally see because you were always so speedy.

And I have to state for the record that I liked you for you, not for Dakota. Although it was very easy to develop a crush on your bro, I had a good friend who had "dibs" on him. Couldn't breach that trust, could I?
