Deaven got to go camping with one of his best friends up at Mt. Rainer last week. Cougar campground is one on our "list" to hit, but we find we have too long of a list sometimes. We were glad Deaven had the chance to go with the Dudley family.

This is a small hike through the Grove of the Patriarchs. Definitely something worth seeing. The trees below are both 1,000 years old. I heard someone say once (I can't remember who) that trees in the NW are scrawny. Yeah, that's a really problem around here.

They had amazing weather (pretty much all of July was spectacular). The views at Rainer are constantly breathtaking.

Of course, camping would not be complete with out massive pyro time in the fire. Deaven looked like a chimney sweep when he was done.

The mountain in the distance is Mt. Adams. They could also see Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood.

Thank you to the Dudley's for taking Deaven along on such a fantastic weekend!!
