Morgan has been potty training. It's definitely been a process. The feet in warm water trick TOTALLY worked to get her started, and I have since weened her from needing it. However, #2 seems to be a HUGE hurdle, and I have more than once THROWN AWAY the pair of underwear when we have been out in public rather than packing it home. I have my limits.
Will and I also celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary. We had done our hike a few weeks earlier, but thanks to our amazing friends, John and Dea, we also got to go out to dinner on the actual night. That dinner was AMAZING at Anthony's Hearth Fire Grill. So ridiculously good and absolutely worth every penny/calorie.
>We also took the kids to get hair cuts. This was actually Morgan's first one EVER (except when Peyton gave her a reverse mow hawk when she was 3 months old).
Deaven was also in Cub Camp for a few days, and we joined him for Parent's Night where we got to witness the annual Egg Drop and learned that Deaven had received awards for B-B Gun shooting and Archery.
Visiting with Rachelle Dudley, Forrest's mom and a good friend of ours.
Morgan was a big helper when I made some Banana bread this week. I love that my girls love to be with me in the kitchen. It won't take me long to teach them all I know. :)
Wednesday, the weather was beautiful, so we headed back out to the lake, with Forrest in tow.
My kids can never get enough of the Lake House and all the fun there (in fact, we are heading back on Friday).
We got some tubing time in, which Peyton loves. She is an animal out there!!
Morgan braved the boat and eventually agreed to try tubing for the first time too!
Morgan actually loved it, but we made sure to keep it pretty mellow.
These are actually a couple of pictures taken by Rebekah, who watched the kids while we were gone on our trip. Her and her husband Tommy are amazing and have been such a blessing to our family. Our kids adore them........
.........and what mom wouldn't love a babysitter that has your children do THIS while you are gone!?
We are having a great last week of summer here. Trying to enjoy lazy mornings, park hopping, and lots of other random fun. Truth be told though, I do love the routine of the school year. I find I am more consistent in some of our family habits during the school year. Here is a quick video for Grandma of the girls dancing away in their room.
