Our Precious Morgan turns 4!!

Dear Morgan,
Four years ago you came into this family and made us complete. You brought spunk and sparkle and we love the little personality that is starting to shine through you. Our family is better because you are in it. You are priceless and we couldn't imagine a day with out you. Thanks for bringing such joy to our lives. We are so grateful the Lord has entrusted you to us.

Happy Birthday Morgan Riley Hayes!

For this weeks FAMILY HOME EVENING, we had a lesson on the Tower of Babel in Genesis.

Of course we had to start the lesson with Morgan's new magic trick:
We told the kids the story of the Tower of Babel and then talked about how we really should be trying to get closer to God.

Then we made our own Tower of Babel with chocolate cake pieces for our bricks (I just made regular cake, but reduced the oil by about half to make the cake more dense and easy to work with).
The kids had a blast making the edible tower.

And just because everyones fingers were all over it DID NOT mean that we all didn't eat some when we were done. It's family!!
