Wizard of Oz and Hayes Comedy

Last night we took the kids to the Broadway version of Wizard of Oz here in Olympia. It was absolutely fantastic and the kids loved it. We couldn't stop smiling through the whole thing.

John and Dea came with us, which is always a special treat. We went to the Cascadia Grill for dinner before hand. Yes, Morgan was left at home. I couldn't quite justifying paying for a ticket for that one yet.

All of my kids have been cracking me up lately, but here is just a sample.

Deaven (10): We were left at the dinner table by ourselves the other night after dinner. I took the opportunity to ask him what he would change about me as a Mom (yes, I was feeling brave). What was cute though is before he did offer some points of advice, he said, "Mom, I know you think that I am going to say to have you stop pinching my booty, but I actually kind of like it. It's kind of sweet".

Peyton: (7): Peyton has been losing several of her front teeth lately. The other day she came to me in the kitchen and said, "Mom, it's like I'm 41." When I asked her WHY, she said, "It's like I'm 41 and so old that all my teeth are falling out". Lovely. I just smiled and said, "Oooohhhh", and didn't bother to mention Dad would be 41 next year.

Peyton (7): During family prayer the other night, she said, "......and please bless that Morgan will go easy on Mom tomorrow". It's always nice to know your kids have your back when you are in the parenting trenches.

Have a blessed week!
