(WRITTEN BY WILL)
Had the opportunity to go on a mini adventure with Chey's Dad, James, and Deaven this Saturday. Grandpa Dunne has been pushing to show us all his secrets up in the mountains behind the cabin. So we made the time to see some of the things he has been so patiently waiting to show us.
We biked about 12 miles and hiked about 10 miles. Deaven was a real trooper.
We found a new spot at Haven lake that might turn out to be a good little family swimming hole/campsite.
Grandpa directed us to some of his discovered waterfalls.
It was super cool to be outdoors with Deaven. As he gets older I desire to do more outdoor activities with him and he seems to like to explore.
At the end of the day, we had burgers, fries and milkshakes for a late dinner, and as we were walking out to our car we were both walking like we had a long day...A LITTLE SLOW!
(A NOTE FROM CHEYENNE)
I just have to say that it's incredible that this Adventure Day could take place amongst 3 generations. No surprise Will could pull out a 22 mile day, but for Deaven, who is 11, and my Dad, who is 60, to be fit enough to enjoy a day like this is pretty incredible......and something I don't take for grated at all.
