After our stay in South Carolina, we made the drive through Georgia and into Florida, heading straight for Orlando. We checked in to the Wilderness Lodge hotel, which was amazing and headed to our first booked show. It was called the Hoop-de-doo Revue and many people had told us it was one of the very favorite things they did in all of Disneyworld.
The show did not disappoint. It was HILARIOUS!! Very entertaining and top notch. And we had front row seats!!
Through out this trip, we read the book Wonder, which we all loved. The shot below is our our hotel pool at night. It was a great place to stay.
We hit all the main parks during the following week. Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot and then we also hit both water parks onsite, which were both amazing.
Deaven picked up Morgan's sickness part way through so on one night, just the girls and I headed in for the evening, which was kind of fun.
Part way through the week, we switched hotels and stayed at the Polynesian. We had a Luau there and watched some fire dancing.
Peyton had her 11th birthday during our week at Disney, so we celebrated every way we could.
Our family pictures over the years from Splash Mountain are so funny. Morgan was REALLY skeptical on this one. Look at her wedged between Will and I's arms!
We still got lots of pool time, because that what our kids love!!
Deaven is sure growing up. What a great kid.
One morning we got there early enough to watch them actually open the Magic Kingdom part....as in Mickey and the gang riding in on the train and everything. It was pretty magical.
When we were at the Wilderness Lodge, we could get into Magic Kingdom by boat, which was fun.
One of our favorite things was doing the American Idol experience at Hollywood. We actually went twice.
There were some INCREDIBLE lightning storms while we were in Florida. Better than I have ever seen in my life. For about a hour, lightning struck 20-30 times A MINUTE. It was INSANE!!
The kids were absolutely perfect through out our time at Disney (they better be, right?). We sure love the little people they are growing up to be!!
So......on one of our last days, while navigating on hot sand at our hotel, I slammed my foot into a lawn chair.....and actually broke my 4th and 5th toe on my right foot. It hurt SO BAD. The last day we went into the park, I went by wheel chair. Sheesh!
I think we all ended up liking Hollywood Studios the best out of all of them. One night, they had a super fun dance party and we had lots of character sightings.
One particular night, our family got the giggles SO BAD....and we just ran with it. Who needs to go to bed on vacation!!
Epcot's World Showcase had some great buildings and really made you feel what it would be like to be in different parts of the world and we all loved the Test Track ride, where you build your own race car and then took it our for a spin.
Will is the best Dad ever!!
The water park days are usually the kids favorite. They are all such great swimmers. One of the waterparks had the WORLD'S LARGEST WAVE POOL. It was absolutely insane!! It completely TRASHED our kids.....and they loved it!
It was a fantastic week and one we will never forget!!
