In January, a town about an hour away, Aberdeen, experienced massive damage when there was some intense flooding, which also created a large landslide.
We went out with about 200 other members of our church to help in the clean up efforts. It was good for the kids to see first hand some of this destruction and felt like we had helped in some small way.
We went door to door asking if people needed any help. We also picked up trashed that had be spread all over several neighborhoods. Definitely made us all grateful for the comforts we enjoy and how the Lord has protected our family from such disasters.
