Will stood on top of Mt. Rainer

Dennese and I were SO grateful to hear from our men Saturday afternoon, especially when they said, "We did it"! For those who don't maybe know, MANY people that actually attempt to summit Mt. Rainer don't make it. I've heard of people having attempted over 10 times with out success, so that tells you what a huge accomplishment it is.
There are several more pictures on the way, but here are a few from Will's camera that were pretty impressive.
Will said that as they looked up, it kept 'looking' like they were almost there, and then they would hit the ridge, and see ANOTHER ridge. Talk about a tease! This is Jamee in the picture above.
This is Camp Curtis, where they stayed one night to acclimate.
This is an example of the type crevasses they had to jump over. SCARY!!!
Ben and Will in the tent.
Sunrise from the mountain.
This is one of my favorite pictures.......above the clouds.
While the boys were gone, Dennese and I went to the lake for a few days. I didn't take many pictures....because they all look the same as the last 5 weeks, but we had a great time. Morgan and Kelton just crack us up. They are such little people.
The sunset one night. Always beautiful out at the lake.

So.......HUGE congrats to Will, Jamee and Ben for taking on the big one! We are very proud of you. Thank you Jamee for making it happen and all the work you did to benefit all. And most of all, thanks for bringing my hubby back safely!

Congratulations Will!! Welcome to the "1st attempt summit success" club. Sometimes I feel that it is more luck with weather than climbing skill, but I also know it is no small feat to be physically ready to tackle a mountain that size. You are awesome, a well deserved accomplishment.
