All in your child's PERCEPTION!!

One thing I have definitely come to realize is that it's not necessarily about reality for your children.......it's how they perceive it.

And periodically, sometimes it's good to check in a make sure they are perceiving things some-what in the vicinity of the truth.

(A conversation happening at the Hayes dinner table):

Dad: "You guys, it's really important that we treat people nice and with respect, and especially in this family. Do you guys understand"?

Kids: "Yes".

Dad: "Peyton, do you think that Mom treats Dad nicely"?

Peyton: "Yes".

Dad: "Do you think that Dad treats Mom nicely"?

Peyton: "No".

Dad: "Why not"?

Peyton: "I see you pinch Mom's booty ALL the time"!
