Happy New Year!!

Well, it's 2010. I would be lying if I didn't say that I love this time of year. I love the literal "fresh start" and a chance to make some changes. I've had fun reading what many of you are planning to do for your New Year's Resolutions, though I have to say many of you could stop improving and be just fine (wink, wink).

I would say that one of my New Year's Resolutions would be to get control of my eating, but that's not really a goal. That's a matter of life and death. Seriously, you would not believe what this girl can pack down.....especially when it comes to chocolate or sweets.

But seriously, my resolution this year is not to DO anything more, but to FEEL differently. To change the "spirit/attitude" I have while doing the things I'm already doing. Do I approach my marriage with an attitude of meekness and compassion? Do I parent with the spirit of gentleness? Do I worship with a spirit of reverence? Do I live with an attitude of gratitude? Do I serve others with the attitude of selflessness? Do I maintain a spirit of humility and do I live with the spirit of prayer? That's the plan.........keep me honest, would ya?

One last Christmas Break activity in our house......we went Bowling!

We had a really good time.
Morgan wanted to be involved, but of course couldn't even lift the balls.
Tried to get a "sweet" picture of Daddy helping his little girl.....but it wasn't quite turning out the way I'd hope (hee-hee!!)
Morgan just kind of walked around with her hand shoved down the back of her pants.
Not exactly lovin' this picture of me (hey-we went right after I got home from the gym) but I just love her little hand wrapped around my neck. I can feel her little fingers just looking at this picture. Any what Mom wouldn't see that little exposed tummy and want to love on it?!
Even with the bumpers, the kids still have a pretty hard time being very successful, but that didn't seem to bother them too much. Peyton had some pretty hysterical dances after she hit a pin or two down.
Morgan manned the ball station for us.
Had to pull this awesome bowling video out of the archives from last year. Deaven just kills me in this!!

Is it unhelpful to say I think you're pretty wonderful just the way you are?

Too bad! If you were any closer to perfect I'd find it a lot harder to like you!

Love and Happy New Year!

Great goals. I think I'm adding those to the top of my list. Thanks for the inspiration. Happy New Year!
