Texas Trip!!

For Spring Break, Will took Deaven and Peyton to Texas to visit his parents, Montye and Carol. The kids were BEYOND excited, as it had been 2+ years since we have been down there.
Will enjoyed having to parent just the two big kids. They are really pretty well behaved (especially when they are not provoked by the crazy three year old). Even the long plane ride was no big deal when your kids are 9 and 6.

Grandpa Hayes helps out at a car shop, that works on all types of cars, but especially those "specialty cars". It was fun for them to see some of the cool cars Grandpa gets to work with.

Riding down the water canal in a mini-car......one of the things my kids love most about G/G house.
Another favorite.......riding in Grandpa's van. A big traveling van!! They packed up and drove to Houston (4 hours away) for an over night trip to the NASA Space Museum. Deaven was so excited for that!
Unfortunately, the hotel pool was pretty cold, but the kids pressed on.

In the morning, they headed to the Museum. The pictures don't really do it justice I'm sure, but they all had a great time and were pretty impressed.
Kind of cool that a few years back, we met and took pictures with a US Astronaut up in Seattle, who happens to be up in Space right now on a mission.
With said this piece was the real deal and you could see the scuff marks and such on it.
Gosh, I missed this little trio!! I am glad they had such a wonderful time though.
The trip went by pretty quick and after 5 days it was time to head home.

We love you Grandma! Grandma Hayes makes so much effort to stay plugged in with the kids despite being so far away. We are so grateful for that.
Grandpa Hayes is so much fun and so silly with the kids. Not to mention he owns a Corvette (which Deaven thinks is pretty cool!).
Meanwhile, back at home..................

Someone's been sleeping in my chair........and there she is!" (Do you just love the tie-dyed socks with the sandals?? She is very set on dressing herself these days).

Mmmm.......but I could just love on that sleeping baby forever. Don't you just love when they are asleep and you can have your way with them? Their bodies get all warm and what usually ends in wiggles and struggles for freedom are moments of complete submission. Love it. Love her.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Hayes for such a wonderful trip for my family! We can't wait to see you both again soon!
