(The weather has been crazy lately. Total down pours, then complete sun for hours. When I turned down my road the other day, this is what the sky looked like. It took my breath away.)Will and I both agree that we are in a season of life with our kids that we need to embrace in full force. Especially Morgan, as she is our last moving through the sweet little stages of being a toddler.
So many times in my day I hear or witness something I wish I could bottle up forever. Here are just a couple couple from the last few days.
(Morgan's animal of choice right now is a puppy. She often pretends to be one and comes in and out of character often. One second she'll ask for a snack, and the next, she is licking you like a dog. We've had some fun with it. Now the story..........)
We were watching a movie as a family a few nights ago. Morgan had done pretty well cuddling with Daddy, but she was starting to get the wiggles like crazy. Will said to her, "Morgan. Why do you have to be so squirrelly"? To which Morgan replied. "I not squirrelly. I a puppy Dad".
Yesterday, I heard Morgan walk upstairs (you know, the way you hear the toy in their hand drag along the wall all the way up). She opened the door to Peyton's room and said, "Peyton, wanna be best friends wiff me"?
Today, I was in a hurry to get off to the gym before I had to be at work. I put Morgan in the car and just grabbed shoes for her to put on once we were there (because half the time she pulls them off anyway). She didn't see me do this and so a 1/2 mile from our home she panics and says, "My shoes"! While she cried in devastation, I told her I had brought the purple ones and they were right here (where she couldn't see). She said in the most sad voice, "Okay" with a bunch of some-what fake sniffles afterwards (which went on for awhile). I finally said, "Are you okay Morgan". And she said, "I just want to feel happy again". She's three!
Morgan also likes to throw around a little Spanish (thanks to her fascination with Dora). More than once a day, Morgan will come to me and say, "Mom, I need help". If I don't move fast enough, she starts tugging at me and says, "Come on Mom. Vamanos!"

What a precious list of sweet memories of your little one.
Those are the stories she'll love to hear when she gets older.
What cute stories....and I love that picture!
