More Summer Fun

On Tuesday, we went to the Lake House for the first time this summer (there have been renters). It was a great day to visit my cousin Rachael, her husband Rob, and their new baby Lauren, who is the cutest chunk of chub ever.
It was a pretty day at the lake........with not a boat in site in August.
The kids enjoyed taking turns Kayaking over to their favorite part of the lake, Sandy Beach.
It didn't take long for the girls to get in the water!!
.....and the boys to get in the boat. But, unfortunately, there was a bit of a boat issue.
Rachael and I have always enjoyed each other and it was fun to have Rachael have her first baby. They will be awesome parents.
We wished we lived closer to these guys. They live in Southern California.

Yesterday was Kelton's 4th birthday, which seems to be a huge milestone for our family too. He's practically betrothed to Morgan.

We played down at the fountain in the sunshine. That's Peyton in the middle, just under the capital building, trying to plug a hole.
Will and I leave this morning for our Anniversary Trip. We are backpacking the High Divide in the Olympics and doing about a 22 mile loop over 4 days. We are super excited. We've had a few other big items going on the last few weeks and Will especially needs the mental break. I'm sure there will be some awesome pictures to come!
