Peyton turns 8!!

This summer, Will and I are running a Junior Racquetball Camp for kids in our area. We have 24 kids playing and LOVING IT!! Peyton is in the group above, Deaven below.
It's so fun to teach kids things because they pick it up so fast and never try to hide their excitement about it. It's be a great experience so far.

But the BIG NEWS has been that our little sweetheart turned EIGHT on Tuesday!!! In true Hayes style, we have been spreading out the fun over the whole week.
On Tuesday, her actual birthday, she had her first day of Gymnastics on the TEAM. Four hours of training, 2x per week. She was so excited that she woke up at 5:30am!!

Her present from us was a scooter, and a Racquetball "outfit". She has loved both. Whew!
After Gymnastics, we had just two of her friends come over to hang out for the day and spend the night, Andi and Malorie. Here they are in the Tree House doing manicures. :)
Of course there was a little hot tubing going on.
Peyton and Malorie have been friends since birth. It's fun to see the way their relationship has changed and I can't imagine them ever getting sick of each other.

Today, Grandpa Dunne showed up to take Peyton out on a date. She was SO excited. We are very lucky to have some special grandparents in our lives.
This Saturday, Peyton has chosen to get baptized (in our religion we baptize around eight, when the child has a better understanding of what it means). She is super excited for that special day. We will also be having her actual birthday party with a few more friends.

This is a short video from our camping trip. It had been a long day and I was tired........and totally had the giggles.

I just LOVE the fact the Will is NEVER the Dad sitting on the sidelines. He is always playing with the kids and making sure they are having a good time.

For whatever reason, his attempt here to entertain BOTH daughters on two different teeter-totters was about the funniest thing I had ever seen. Will still doesn't understand why this makes me laugh so much, but it is more my total appreciation of what an incredible Dad he is. Enough said.
