One of our "Bucket List" items for 2013 was to do a day trip to OMSI, the science museum down in Portland. It truly is as good as a museum as I have ever seen. My Dad was able to sneak away from work and come join us as well.
The "seasonal exhibit" was MYTH BUSTERS, which happens to be one of Deaven's very favorite shows. Deaven got chosen to actually go up on stage to help bust a myth.
The question was if people react faster to light or sound.....and with that knowledge, could they dodge a paintball bullet at close range. Deaven got to get a suited up and was given a shield. He reacted more quickly from the sound, so as the paintball cannon would go off, so would the sound.
The first 3 shots, at extremely close range, he couldn't dodge, but the last one he could. Super fun!!
We spent 4 hours going through all the exhibits and could have spent MORE time for sure.
The picture below sums up why I love OMSI.....especially for Morgan, it's a place where little guys can experiment and learn about things so much bigger then them, but in a way they can understand. My kids could literally live in that place.
Item #1 scratched off the Bucket List!!! Yay!
