Izzy's and Racquetball

I'm saying this so I'll remain accountable........my next blog post WILL BE some shots of the remodeled restaurant. Hopefully some nice before and after shots, but I'll do my best. Many have asked to see the finished (6 month long) project. Thanks for your interest and support. It will be here shortly.

But in the meantime..........This past weekend was the Racquetball State Championships up in Bellevue. I won my first three matches to make it to the final in the Women's Open division. Then I got to play Wanda. Wanda, Wanda, Wanda. Wanda has been the number one player in Washington since I was born. Okay, maybe not that long, but seriously, maybe the last 15 years. She is amazing and playing better now at 51 than ever before. She is such a smart player, yet one of these days I just know I'm gonna get her (I think she knows it too). This weekend was not that day though. We had a good match, but she definitely deserved the title of State Champ. I was pretty happy to settle for 2nd. That's a huge accomplishment still. In a few weeks I go to Portland to compete in the Regionals there.

While I was gone for a few hours playing, Will got fired up and put in a new back splash in our kitchen (that we've had planned for about a year). I was pretty impressed he got that done with three kids in tow, but he did. I think it looks fantastic! Nice job baby!
Deaven came with me for the finals (Will would have been there but he was pretty sick). Before I played, Deaven got to play with another little fella for awhile. When kids play racquetball, they play multi-bounce. Very cool that they adapt it for all ages. Deaven enjoys it and will be playing some more this summer while I'm training.

Wow, that's huge! Impressive! Jenson and Mady have had racquetball lessons from Wanda. She is a great teacher, so encouraging! Jenson is multi-bounce still, and plans to pick it up again next year.
Looking forward to store pics!
