As I mentioned before, we decided to re-do our carpets and paint in several rooms, which meant the easiest thing for me to do was take the kids and get out of the way. Will and I did have one night of sleeping in the living room on the floor, and in the morning, one by one, each of the kids came and crawled in bed with us. Loved that. Then we were off to Oregon to visit some family!
We stayed the weekend with my brother Taylor and his girlfriend Bobbie. Taylor is a kid's favorite, and you can see why!
We walked around the campus of Western Oregon where Taylor is attending. The next day we were off to Enchanted Forest.
For those of you who do NOT live in Oregon, Enchanted Forest is an amazingly fun place to take kids. It is all built around Nursery rhymes, and has you walked through different houses, crawl through Alice and Wonderland tunnels and explore through Indian Caves.
The Old Lady who lived in the shoe slide is always a favorite!!
Morgan loved most of it, but was a little apprehensive about some.
Luckily for my kids, Bobbie was willing to take them through the Haunted House. I HATE those things.
Uncle Taylor kept Morgan warm in his jacket while we waited.
We had such a great time!!
Everybody needed a little rest time when we came home.
Sunday, after church, we had dinner at my parents house and saw my other brother Logan, whom my children LOVE too. They are very lucky to have such great uncles.
My kids love to visit my parents house and play in my mom's amazing backyard.
Monday morning, we hit the Children's Museum in Salem with Grandpa Dunne.
The bubble room is probably my kids favorite (and mine too, because I hate bringing out bubbles in our home. Always SO STICKY.).

The carpet was still being laid when we got back into town, so we hung out in a hotel for two nights, which of course, the kids LOVED.
Morgan and I moved out during school on the third day to head back home.
The bunk bed additional was super exciting for my girls!
We still have a few things to put back together, but we love the carpet and the news things we have done. So worth the craziness!!

AW! Morgan with her uncle is just about the cutest thing ever!!!
If you have to get out of your house for a week, this looks like such a fun way to do it! Glad you had a great time!
Oh my word, I had forgotten about the Enchanted Forest. I use to go there all the time when we would visit Oregon.
I'm sure it's nice to be back home though. :)
Their is just something great about new carpet. Huh? Love all the pics!
